Prayer Collective is a pioneering 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to exploring the dynamic relationship between spirituality and cognitive neuroscience. Rooted within academic institutions and nurtured by collaborations with universities and colleges, we are at the forefront of integrating spiritual practices with advanced neuromodulation technologies.
At Prayer Collective, we integrate cognitive neuroscience with spirituality to help better manage mental wellness. In collaboration with Christian universities and colleges, we develop neuroscience labs, train scholars, and conduct innovative research. Our work explores how spiritual practices can improve cognitive abilities and foster resilience, equipping a new generation of bold Christian scientists who lead confidently at the intersection of faith and science. Through this synergy of research, education, and spiritual wisdom, we aim to unlock transformative insights that benefit individuals, communities, and society as a whole.
Our research at Prayer Collective focuses on how spiritual practices such as prayer and meditation influence cognitive functions like memory, attention, and problem-solving. We explore how these practices can help individuals better self-regulate brainwave patterns, potentially aiding in the management of anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. Additionally, we study the combined effects of neuromodulation technologies, such as transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) and neurofeedback, with spiritual interventions to enhance brain function and mental wellness. Through faith-based neuroeducation, we develop strategies to integrate neuroscience and spirituality in educational settings, fostering holistic mental well-being for students and educators.
